The Renfrew County Catholic District School Board has announced several changes and appointments for administration in the 2017–2018 school year.
Julia Graydon, who had been serving as part-time Vice-Principal at St. John Bosco in Barry’s Bay, as well as Information Technology System lead, has accepted the permanent principalship at St. John Bosco School, Barry’s Bay. Julie Huckabone, who had been Vice-Principal at Bishop Smith Catholic High School, has accepted an Interim Principal position at St. Andrew’s Elementary School in Killaloe.
Christina Brown has been appointed Principal at St. John XXIII in Arnprior after serving as Principal at Our Lady of Sorrows in Petawawa. Scott Nichol, who had been Principal at St. Andrew’s in Killaloe, becomes Principal at St. Francis of Assisi in Petawawa.
Amy Sicoli, who had been Principal at Holy Name in Pembroke, becomes Principal at Our Lady of Lourdes in Pembroke. Melissa Dubeau moves to be Principal at Holy Name in Pembroke after serving as Principal at Our Lady of Grace in Westmeath.
Tony Jacyno, who has served as Vice-Principal at St. Joseph’s High School in Renfrew, will become Principal of Our Lady of Sorrows in Petawawa. Sally Douglas, who has served as Vice-Principal at St. Anthony’s in Chalk River, becomes Vice-Principal at Our Lady of Sorrows.
Rory Donohue, who has been Principal of St. Joseph’s School in Calabogie, becomes Principal of St. Thomas the Apostle in Renfrew. Karen Keels, who has been Vice-Principal at Our Lady of Sorrows in Petawawa, becomes Principal of Our Lady of Fatima in Renfrew. Derek Lennox, who worked as Principal of Our Lady of Lourdes in Pembroke, becomes Principal of St. Joseph’s School in Arnprior. Heidi Fraser, who has been Principal of St. John XXIII, will have a dual role as RCCDSB’s System Special Education Principal and Principal at St. Joseph’s in Calabogie.
All of these appointments become effective on September 1st. “We are very pleased to announce this redeployment of administration,” said Director of Education, Michele Arbour. “Each of these individuals has the leadership skills and professional expertise necessary to continue our tradition of strong faith-filled schools of academic excellence.”
The redeployment process continues this month to place principals at George Vanier, Combermere and Our Lady of Grace, Westmeath as well as Vice-Principals at Bishop Smith CHS, St. Joseph’s CHS, St. Joseph’s, Arnprior and St. Anthony’s, Chalk River.
