The Renfrew County Catholic District School Board is committed to ensuring equal access and participation for people with disabilities. We are committed to treating people with disabilities in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence.
We believe in integration, and we are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner. We will do so by removing and preventing barriers to accessibility and by meeting our accessibility requirements under Ontario’s accessibility laws.
Our Accessibility Working Group consults with people with disabilities and community agencies to develop and review an ANNUAL ACCESSIBILITY PLAN (PDF). The annual plan describes the achievements and measures that the RCCDSB has taken to implement its accessibility plan, and measures to identify, remove and prevent barriers for people with disabilities, subject to the availability of resources.
The ANNUAL ACCESSIBILITY PLAN (PDF) is in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), which requires each school board to prepare an annual accessibility plan; consult with people with disabilities in the preparation of this plan; and make the plan public.
